Shania Launches New Charity Program! The "Shania Kids Can" is a new charity recently started by Shania to help children with personal challenges in their daily life become success stories socially, behaviorally and academically. The focus of this charity is to support educators in primary level schools identify the children in need to help them overcome their problems. Shania Interviews Queen of Jordan! Shania Twain became a radio host for one day on January 8th when she guest hosted the Canadian radio CBC's program "The Current" in the morning. Shania had the chance to present and discuss her new charity work which includes school help for children who are neglected. During the show Shania also interviewed Rania, the Queen of Jordan, who is involved in the 1Goal charity program world-wide. Shania Carries Olympic Torch in Timmins! On January 1, 2010 Shania Twain returned to her hometown of Timmins, Ontario to carry the Olympic torch as it moves closer to the final destination in Vancouver. Shania was cheered on by hundreds of enthusiastic fans in a temperature of -40C with windchill! Shania herself was thrilled to be part of the celebrations and later on donated the torch and her outfit to the Shania Twain Centre in Timmins to be exhibited. Shania Attends Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Concert! This past fall Shania Twain attended the 25 Anniversary Concert of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden. The actual celebration with many known artists was so big, that the organization had to have two separate concerts, two nights in a row. Shania to Be a Judge on Americal Idol! The announcement came directly from people.com: Shania Twain will be a guest judge on American Idol for the American Idol auditions scheduled for August 30-31, 2009 in Boston. Unfortunatly we will not get to see Shania in action until the show airs much later in the year, likely in early 2010. New Company Takes over Shania's Fanclub! The Shania Twain's Official Fanclub has released a statement informing Shania fans that Mad Dancer Media will now take over the Shania's official fanclub website, starting from the end of August (see also announcement above about a video message from Shania).
