On the other hand, however, discussion ensued, and it was agreed that if a group of people or a whole family wishes to have their name on the wall such as The Ginette Lafond family or Winners of the 2001 Bantam Team or Business so and so etc., they would qualify for a donation of 100 US per group not per person. This could amount to a few dollars each to have their name engraved in granite which would last for generations to come. In today's edition of the Timmins Daily Press online, there was a letter from a Shania Fan from UK regarding the "Wall of Fans" project planned in Timmins. "WRITING AS A Shania fan from the U.K., I think that Andrea Loves' and John Korycki's plan to build a Wall of Fans is as exciting as Timmins decision to build the Shania Twain Centre... The concept of a wall engraved with the names of fans from around the world is to be commended and can only bring a further boost to Timmins tourism revenue. Where ever the eventual site is, it will be visited by thousands of Shanias family of fans every year commercial outlets in the area will be among the first to benefit from increased trade." The song is titled "Sparks." The band singer, Chris Martin, stated that "This was originally written by Shania Twain, but I believe we really make it our own." Shania In JUNO CD. On Feb 20th a four CD box set is being released in Canada to celebrate the Juno's 30th Anniversary. In the ad for the disk they mention Shania and play a clip from MIFLAW. Shania's Sales in France. According to the CD highest sales list in France for the year 2000, Shania's "MIFLAW" CD single ranked 22th, "TDIMM" ranked 41st, and the album "Come On Over" ranked 9th! Congratulations Shania! All this with very limited promotion in France..:) (Thanks Alexis!)
