Shania's Junos Record! The 2003 Juno Awards show hosted by Shania Twain from the Corel Centre in Ottawa on April 6, 2003 set a new record for the Junos: 2.2 million people watched the show! According to an article in The Star: "The Juno Awards pulled in more Canadian viewers than the Grammys this year, with 2.2 million people tuning in to watch host Shania Twain and other stars of the music industry, CTV said today. 
It's a sharp increase from last year's Junos broadcast from St. John's, Nfld., when the Barenaked Ladies hosted the event and 1.4 million viewers tuned in." Congratulations Shania! (Thanks to Jud, from the STNAOFC Messageboard!)

Shania on Nickelodeon! Shania Twain appeared on the children's program ""U Pick Live" on the Nickelodeon channel on April 8. Shania answered questions and talked about her music. Flameworthy Awards: Shania Sings with Alisson and Wins! Shania Twain participated to the CMT 2003 Flameworthy Awards show on April 7, 2003. "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" won "Concept Video of the Year": Congratulations Shania! You can see a photo of Shania with the award here to the right. 
That same night, Shania performed her new single "Forever and For Always" LIVE: she did an acustic version with Alisson Krauss and the Union Station band, a wonderful performance. An article in the Tennessean reported that: "One of the night's surprises came when multimillion-selling Shania Twain — normally a purveyor of busy pop music — sang her Forever and For Always ballad with all-acoustic accompaniment by Alison Krauss & Union Station.
''I've always had this dream, to make things more minimalistic,'' Twain said backstage. ''It probably does the song more justice than anything else we've done. There's more sides to me than the cheeky, sassy female.''
The same newspaper also printed that: "Special mention, in a moment of true surprise and redemption, goes to Shania for her fine collaboration with Alison Krauss & Union Station on Twain's Forever and For Always. I've wanted to hear Twain's voice over a simple acoustic arrangement for years. And it was a delight."

3 Juno Awards For Shania! Shania Twain hosted on April 6 the Juno Awards in Ottawa from the Corel Centre: it was the first time for Shania hosting a TV show and she was absolutely fabulous! The crowd in the arena loved her, and so did the press. Shania changed 6 outfits with themes that represented the 6 Canadian hockey teams in the NHL. Shania performed two songs during the show: she opened with a great version of UP! and later on she sang her next single "Forever and For Always." Shania on World Charts! Shania Twain's new single in the international market, "Ka Ching!", is doing really well! It is climbing the international charts, pushing the album UP! at the same time. "Ka Ching!" is currently at #19 on the MTV European Top 20 chart; the same single is at#4 in Austria, #38 in the United Kingdom, and #15 in France. Keep requesitng the song! Shania to Sing with Willie Nelson! According to an article on yahoo.com, Shania Twain will be appearing in a Willie Nelson Tribute show that will be taped in New York on April 9: "Willie Nelson and Friends: Live and Kickin' will tape Wednesday, April 9th at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.All-Star Line-up includes Performances by Ray Charles, Kenny Chesney, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Merle Haggard, Norah Jones, Toby Keith, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lyle Lovett, John Mellencamp, Shelby Lynne, Ray Price, Leon Russell, Shania Twain and ZZ Top " Shania's Mercury site has announced what Shania will be singing: "Shania will perform “Blue Eyes Cryin’ In the Rain” as well as her song, “Forever and For Always.” The show will air on USA networks Memorial Day weekend—May 26th". "Forever and For Always" - NEW SINGLE! According to information posted on allaccess.com, Shania's new single for country radios will be "Forever and For Always"! It will be released on April 7, the same day of the CMT Flameworthy Awards performance. Countrystars.com has also posted information on the video Shania Twain is shooting for her new single: "SHANIA TWAIN "MISTRESS OF THE RINGS"? Shania Twain is currently in the land where they filmed the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy to film the video for the new single from UP!, titled "Forever and Always." Shania Centre Fans Convention-Aug.7-10! It's now official! The First Shania Fans Convention organized at the Shania Twain Centre in Timmins will take place between Aug. 7 to Aug. 10! The Timmins Daily Press has published today an article on the Convention titled "Shania likely to return home this summer," the newspaper talks about the plans for the convention: "The first-ever Shania Twain fan convention set tentatively for Aug. 7, may have the superstar herself attending. 
Timmins Tourism and Attractions manager Will Saari revealed negotiations are ongoing with Twain’s managers for a date to visit her hometown before her concert tour begins in the fall.
We’re having a tough time planning the convention until we know when she’s available,” Saari said. “She has said she’s coming for a visit in 2003." To read the full article, go HERE! As you can see from the scan to the right, the image used for the cover is almost identical to the one you can find on the "Ka Ching!" single. The latest review from the yahoo.co.uk claims: "Not only is the radio version of her tune an astonishing shift in direction (kind of baroque, kind of R&B), one of her CDs features a floor-burning bhangra mix of the track, which has fooled many a junglist in clubs across the country - until of course Shania's distinctive vocals appear. Bring MeWater!

More Reviews of "UP!" The NPR Official website has posted a great review of Shania's new album "UP!" It is a great and flattering review of UP!, by Ken Tucker from Entertainment Weekly!!! It is an audio file that you could listen to HERE! You can also read a great review of the album by Shawn McKenzie: "Now she has finally come out with her follow-up to Come On Over with the release of Up! Originally, she was going to do the same thing that she did with Come On Over and release two different versions of the album, a country one and a pop one. Instead, she decided to include both versions in the same CD and just charge single disc price. I think it is a genius move. When I griped about the country gals going pop, I never said they shouldn’t try out other genres of music.
