the 52nd Annual Pop Awards on May 11, the BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) gave
Shania Twain two BMI Pop Music Awards for her songs "Forever And For Always"
and "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!". "BMI's Citation of Achievement performance
certificates are given annually in recognition of popularity in the field
of popular music, as measured by feature broadcast performances on American

Premieres on CMT! The country music channel CMT US has started on April
30 to air the "When You Kiss Me" video during its regular programming.
The channel is actually showing both versions of the video: one with Shania
on the beach only and the other one with Shania inside a house with a photographer.

Movie on Shania To Be
Shot in Timmins. According to an article posted in the Timmins Daily
Press, the executive producer of the CBC movie on Shania has stated that
they will start shooting the movie this coming summer in the Timmins and
Sudbury area, Ontario. "Timmins residents will have an opportunity to appear
in a made-for-TV movie. A two-hour movie chronicling the life of Shania
Twain will be shot, in part, in Timmins this summer.
“We were commissioned by
the CBC to make this film,” said Laszlo Barna, the film’s executive producer
at Barna-Alper Productions in Toronto.
More than $3 million will
be spent producing the film, which will be shot, for the most part, in
Timmins and Sudbury, Barna said. A crew of about 100 people will be on

Two New Tour Dates Added!
Shania's
Tour has added two more dates to the third leg in North America: on June
11 Shania will give a second concert in Saskatoon, SK, and on June 26 she
will have a concert in Lubbock, Texas. If you are a member of the
Official
Shania Twain Fan Club, there will be a pre-sale on April 28! Otherwise
you will be able to buy the tickets to those concerts on May 1 at Ticketmaster
US and Canada!

Shania Says Next Album
Not Too Far! The countrymusic website Countrystars.com
posted an interviewed with Shania from the Flame Worthy Awards show. Shania
said that the next album will not take as long as the last album "UP!"
took to be recorded and released. "I'm working on new music now. So it
shouldn't be in too long of a time. I'm not gonna leave much of a gap at
all. Pretty much when I get off the road I'm going to get right back into
the studio, so I won't leave a gap this time. And I guess while I'm on
a roll and singing every night I want to get back into the studio." However,

that she is not expecting to shoot any new music video for the current

Wins 2004 CMT Female Flame Worthy Video of The Year! The
2004 CMT Flame Worthy Awards are the only TV awards voted in by the fans:
Shania Twain has been awarded the 2004 Flame Worthy Female Video of the
Year for her song: "Forever and for Always!" Congratulations Shania! During
the red carpet part of the awards show that aired LIVE on April 21 on CMT,
Luke Lewis, President of Mercury Records Nashville, gave Shania the Triple
Diamond Award as awarded to Shania by the RIAA! Shania is the only artist
to have received three Diamond Awards from the RIAA for three consecutive
albums.

Dolly Parton's performance on the show, stating that Dolly is her absolute

Tour Dates Added/Rescheduled!
A
couple more tour dates have been added to Shania's Tour second leg in North
America: some of the concerts previously scheduled for early/mid-April
have been now rescheduled to late June. A date in Los Angeles and in Lubbock,
TX have also been added to the final tour schedule for this spring/summer

Tour Record Breaking
in the UK! According to an article posted at the SMG website, Shania
has broken another sales record..this time in the UK! "Shania Twain broke
box office and ticket sales records when her European tour reached the
M.E.N. Arena, Manchester. The one night show sold over 18,300 tickets and
grossed in the region of three quarter of a million pounds. " Congratulations

to get rid of a back problem right before the Manchester concert in England.

recently at his Pudsey chiropractor clinic when she hurt her back on the

to MSNBC, the NASA Mars Mission manager has compiled an extensive list
of songs to play to the NASA specialists who work on the two Mars Rovers
projects. "Mission manager matches music to the mood.
You won't find this playlist
on any radio station. Only a Martian would mix ABBA with R. Kelly, Beyoncé
with Gene Autry, and the Rolling Stones with Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Or someone pretending to be a Martian. The eclectic playlist is Spirit
rover mission manager Mark Adler's way of waking exhausted engineers and
scientists who are working and sleeping on Mars time and dealing with a
sometimes temperamental rover millions of miles away. And with entries

on German Walk of Fame! While Shania was in Munich to give her concert
on March 2, she also had the opportunity to "get your hands dirty"...so
to speak...Her handprints were taken for the German Walk of Fame in Olympia
Park in Munich. As you can see from the photo here to the left, Shania
enjoyed the ceremony: the first woman to have her hand prints in the cement

It's the place I think that you eventually become more relaxed. Because
the environment is pretty much the same every night. Your show is your

off a second Shania item for their annual fundraiser to support St. Jude
Hospital! "You are bidding on an autographed photo and glove signed by
country music superstar Shania Twain. Both photo and glove are signed,
and they are displayed with the CD single version of 'That Don't Impress
Me Much.' Display is housed in a 20" X 25.5" glass-front frame. This auction
is part of the annual St Jude Charity Auction, hosted by Washington-DC

Mag! In the latest UK magazine called Maverick (The New Voice of Country
Music), Issue 19, Feb 2004, (Reba on front cover), there's a one page article
on Shania and her thoughts on Alison Krauss & Union Station. Here is
a brief excerpt: "Shania reached out to Alison Krauss because she has long
been a fan of the bluegrass star's music. In turn, Alison has long been
a fan of Shania's husband, legendary rock/pop/country Mutt Lange.
"I wanted to go back to
something stripped-down and rootsy," Shania explains. "I've been doing
big concerts for quite a long time, and I love it, but I just want that
contrast." To get it, she turned to Union Station. "Wanting to break the
music down, there just didn't seem to be any other way," she adds. "They
were the ones. There is no, even, second choice."
It is rumoured that there
will be a stripped-down acoustic segment during Shania's UK concert tour
